This marks his fourth state-level indictment this year, as Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis prepares to present the case.

During a press conference in Des Moines, Iowa, Trump was asked about the possibility of a plea deal in the Georgia case. He firmly rejected the idea, stating, “I don’t take plea deals; we have done nothing wrong,” and dismissed the question as a “wise guy question.” Trump also took the opportunity to criticize his previous indictments, claiming that President Joe Biden was behind them and suggesting Biden’s struggles with effective communication.

Fani Willis, known for her involvement in high-profile prosecutions such as those of Atlanta school officials and alleged gang members, is leading the investigation into Trump. The investigation was sparked by Trump’s conversation with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, where he allegedly pressured Raffensperger to find enough votes to overturn the election results. If convicted, Trump’s ability to pardon himself would be limited due to the state-level nature of the alleged offense.

Throughout the year, Trump has faced numerous legal challenges, including three indictments in New York State relating to hush money payments and federal criminal charges involving mishandling classified documents and election interference allegations.
