Madonna Recuperating at Home After ICU Stay, Confirms Rosie O’Donnell

Following a recent stay in the intensive care unit (ICU), Madonna, the iconic pop star, is now resting and recovering at home, according to close friend Rosie O’Donnell. O’Donnell shared this update while addressing fans’ questions on an Instagram post featuring the two of them during their time filming “A League of Their Own.” Madonna’s talent manager, Guy Oseary, had previously announced that the 64-year-old singer of “Like a Virgin” had been hospitalized and that upcoming dates on her Celebration World Tour would be rescheduled.

New Developments Regarding Madonna’s Health Condition:

The public was notified about Madonna’s health situation by Oseary via an Instagram post, where he revealed that she had acquired a severe bacterial infection, leading to her stay in the ICU. Fortunately, the pop star’s health is showing signs of improvement, and a full recovery is expected. However, Madonna is still under the care of medical professionals. Dr. Marc Siegel, a medical contributor for Fox News, suggested that her symptoms could be indicative of a serious condition like pneumonia or a urinary infection that has spread to the lungs and bloodstream.

Madonna’s Impressive Professional Journey:

This recent setback comes as Madonna was preparing to embark on her Celebration World Tour in July, marking her four decades in the entertainment industry. It follows the cancellation of several shows on her Madame X Tour in 2019 due to a knee injury. Earlier this year, the singer also experienced personal grief with the passing of her older brother, Anthony Ciccone.

A Strong and Long-lasting Friendship with Rosie O’Donnell:

Rosie O’Donnell and Madonna have been the best of friends since their time together filming “A League of Their Own” in 1991. Directed by Penny Marshall, the sports movie featured a star-studded cast, including Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, Lori Petty, Téa Leoni, Jon Lovitz, and Bill Pullman.
