New Revelations from Closed-Door Interview Shed Light on Hunter Biden’s Business Connections with Joe Biden

During a confidential meeting with the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, Devon Archer, a former associate of Hunter Biden, disclosed that Hunter would occasionally have his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, on speakerphone during business meetings with partners. Archer stated that these phone calls were intended to enhance the reputation of their family’s brand and involved discussions with a French energy company in Paris and Jonathan Li of BHR Partners, a state-backed private equity firm, in China.

Archer emphasized the significance of having Hunter Biden on the board of Burisma as it brought notable value due to the association with then-Vice President Joe Biden. He also argued that Burisma would have faced financial difficulties without the influence of their family’s brand.

However, Republicans and Democrats interpreted Archer’s comments differently regarding President Biden’s involvement in his son’s business ventures. Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene claimed that Archer’s admission proves that President Biden lied about his participation in his son’s foreign dealings, suggesting the need for an impeachment inquiry. Conversely, freshman Democratic Rep. Dan Goldman asserted that the phone calls between Joe and Hunter Biden were mostly informal and did not involve discussions about business matters.

Additionally, Republican Rep. Andy Biggs from Arizona believed that Archer’s testimony had implications for the president but stressed that the substance of the conversations with business associates primarily revolved around pleasantries.

Overall, the closed-door interview provided fresh insights into the relationship between Hunter and Joe Biden during their business interactions, resulting in divergent interpretations from both sides of the political spectrum.
