Preparing for Her Final Season: LSU’s Olivia Dunne Shares Gymnastics Preseason Workouts

Olivia Dunne, a talented gymnast representing LSU, is getting ready for her senior season by engaging in preseason workouts. She recently posted a video on TikTok that showcased her practicing on the bars and focusing on improving her flexibility, all in anticipation of the upcoming NCAA Gymnastics season. Dunne light-heartedly captioned the video with “I will survive pre-szn. I will survive pre-szn. I will survive pre-szn,” acknowledging the daunting task of preseason conditioning.

Dunne also shared an emotional clip on TikTok last week, where she reflected on her incredible journey from being a young gymnast to becoming one of the leaders on the LSU gymnastics team. She expressed her amazement at the fact that this would be her final year competing.

When asked about her plans to pursue the Olympics, Dunne answered in the negative, citing the toll it takes on her body. However, even without aiming for the Olympics, Dunne has experienced a surge in popularity, resulting in endorsements for her name, image, and likeness. She has even become a model for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit and established the Livvy Fund to provide support for female student-athletes at LSU.

In the 2023 NCAA Championships, Dunne and her LSU team achieved an impressive fourth-place finish. As she embarks on her senior year, Dunne is cherishing every moment while eagerly anticipating what the future holds for her gymnastics career and beyond.
