Prince Harry’s ‘HRH’ Title No Longer Listed on Royal Family’s Website: Updates Made to Reflect Changes in Roles and Titles

Prince Harry’s profile page on the official website of the royal family has been updated to remove his “HRH” (His Royal Highness) title. This change comes more than three years after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as working members of the royal family. As part of their agreement with the royal family in January 2020, the couple voluntarily gave up the use of their “HRH” titles after deciding to step back from their official responsibilities.

The alterations made to Prince Harry’s references on the website now refer to him as “the Duke of Sussex” or simply “the Duke.” This rectification was prompted by a report from the British outlet Express that pointed out the oversight in Prince Harry’s title on the website.

It is worth noting that the royal family’s website had not been fully updated following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II and the subsequent coronation of King Charles III. The website still referred to Charles and his wife Camilla by their previous titles. Additionally, it failed to mention Prince William and Kate Middleton’s titles as Prince and Princess of Wales, only designating them as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

In response to media claims that Prince Harry had received an authentic Super Bowl ring, his inner circle set the record straight by stating that the gift he received was actually a replica ring from Jerry Jones. This incident highlights the difficulties faced in accurate reporting, particularly when it comes to political biases and the increased scrutiny on public figures.

While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have willingly relinquished their “HRH” titles, their profile pages on the website have been updated to reflect their current roles and their children have been recognized as the Prince and Princess of Sussex.
