Senate Report Reveals $5.1 Million Payment to Biden Businesses Following Hunter Biden’s Association with Chinese Partner

A recent investigation conducted by the Senate in 2020 has brought to light that bank accounts connected to Hunter Biden received a total of $5.1 million in payments from his Chinese business partner, Henry Zhao. This transaction occurred shortly after the exposure of text messages where Hunter Biden used his father’s influence to demand payment.

According to Peter Schweizer, a senior contributor to Breitbart News and President of the Government Accountability Institute, Henry Zhao, who played a significant role in the establishment of a Chinese investment fund, is believed to have close ties to Chinese intelligence. In 2017, Zhao collaborated with CEFC Energy, a Chinese energy conglomerate with connections to Chinese military intelligence.

A screenshot of a WhatsApp message from Hunter Biden to Henry Zhao, dated July 30, 2017, shows Hunter Biden pressuring Zhao for payment, mentioning his father’s influence. Within ten days of this message, a subsidiary of CEFC transferred two payments totaling $5.1 million to accounts linked to Hunter Biden, as stated in records referenced in the Senate GOP investigation.

Whistleblower testimonies informed the IRS and FBI investigators about the possibility of Joe Biden being present in the same room as Hunter Biden during his message to Henry Zhao. However, it is uncertain whether the FBI obtained this data.

Whistleblowers also alleged that Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf prevented United States Attorney David Weiss from investigating an email found on Hunter Biden’s laptop. This email discussed a business deal with CEFC and mentioned “Ten held by H for the big guy.” The IRS whistleblower claims that Wolf’s intervention limited the scope of the investigation, despite potential evidence of Joe Biden’s involvement.

Through Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) related to the Biden family, James Comer (R-KY), Chair of the House Oversight Committee, discovered in March that a Biden associate received a $3 million wire transfer from CEFC, a Chinese energy company. As a result, four members of the Biden family, including Hunter, James, Hallie, and an unidentified “Biden,” collectively received a share of $1.3 million from the $3 million wire transfer.

In May, Comer revealed that the Biden family businesses had received a minimum of $10 million over several years from business dealings in Romania and China. In total, nine Biden family members, including two of Joe Biden’s grandchildren, benefited from these international business ventures.
