White House Denies National Security Threat from Biden Family Business Activities

During a press briefing at the White House, John Kirby, the National Security Council coordinator for strategic communications, dismissed concerns about the potential national security threat posed by the Biden family’s business activities. However, Kirby admitted that he had not read the House Oversight Committee report on the matter.

The House Oversight Committee conducted an investigation in May, which revealed that the Biden family business had received substantial payments, totaling at least $10 million, from business ventures in Romania and China. These payments were allegedly linked to influence peddling, with a total of nine Biden family members, including two of Joe Biden’s grandchildren, involved in these foreign business ventures.

When questioned about whether he had read the report and if there were any national security concerns, Kirby simply replied with a “No, and no.”

This is not the first time that the Biden family business has been a topic of discussion during White House press briefings. Last week, a reporter referred to a Harvard/Harris poll, which indicated that 53 percent of Americans, including a quarter of Democrats, believed that Joe Biden was involved in an illegal influence peddling scheme with his son.

In response to the question regarding Americans’ perceptions of the alleged corruption of the president, Kirby expressed surprise and stated that “there’s nothing to these claims.”

Meanwhile, the House Oversight Committee has initiated a new investigation into an unclassified document that reportedly details a financial arrangement between Joe Biden and a foreign individual, involving policy decisions in exchange for money. The FBI possesses this document, which was obtained through an interview with a highly reliable informant.

FBI Director Christopher Wray has refused to hand over the subpoenaed record to the House Oversight Committee, leading Committee Chair James Comer to announce the intention to hold Wray in contempt of Congress. According to Comer, the FBI has acknowledged that the unclassified document has not been disproven and is currently being used in an ongoing investigation. The informant, who has a long-standing relationship with the FBI, has been paid a significant sum of money over the past decade.

The controversy surrounding the Biden family’s business dealings and the ongoing investigations raise concerns about potential conflicts of interest and their impact on national security.
